Ugraf2

Ugraf2 is a transp utility to display graphs of '2 dimensional' ( + time ) Ufiles. It can most conveniently be run from the directory containng the Ufiles, by this sequence of commands -

>ugraf2 h ters ters q 40365
 NAMED FILE:  TERS40365.TERS
 NUMBER OF ASSOCIATED SCALARS IN FILE: 0
 ** UGRAF2 OPTIONS:
  1 - PRESET PLOT SCALING/AXES DEFAULTS (2D PLOTS ONLY)
  P - PLOT THE DATA
  I - INTERCHANGE X AND Y AXES (FOR 3D PLOT VIEW)
  L - LIST THE ASSOCIATED SCALAR QUANTITIES
  C - SPOOL FILE COMMENTS TO TTY (USE CTRL(Q), CTRL(S))
  S - GET NEW SHOT
  D - CHANGE FILENAMING CONVENTION
  Q - QUIT UGRAF2
UGRAF2:  ENTER CONTROL CODE:
 [fgetline: no command line editing available]
p 1 p
 [ GFLIB/SGLIB -- output to plot screen or file ]
The arguments  h ters ters q 40365  request a Ufile TERS40365.TERS.

Commands p 1 p then graph the signal, in a separate Tektronics window. The input can be provided one word at a time, in response to command prompts, if you have sufficient patience.

For best results, the environment variables

TERM=xterm
TERMINAL_TYPE=XTERM

should be set.

To get rid of the Tx window, hold down control, and click on the window with the central mouse button ( else L & R together if you are a buttton short.. ) Select 'Hide Tek Window ' from the drop down menu. Enter 'Q' several times to exit ugraf2 ( Ctl+C for the impatient ).
