Smoothing signals.

If you wish to smooth over a fixed number of points then select 'Index' from the 'Smoothing Type' droplist. If you would rather smooth over a fixed window size then select 'Value'. Then enter the window shape you wish to use. For more information about windows see here.

Select the range over which the smoothing is to occur and then enter the direction(/s) you wish to smooth over using the bottom droplist and click 'Smooth' to create a smoothed signal.

It is possible to choose which plot the signal is created in by using the options at the bottom.
