Editing mode type data

To edit mode type data, select the Mode option on the right mouse button menu (Mouse (right)). A set of options will then be displayed, to allow you to Create, Move or Delete mode data. Select whichever option you are interested in, as below,

To edit mode data you must not have the option to hide the mode data in the graphics display, selected.

Creating a new mode type data point

New mode data points can be created to mark the start of a particular mode of the plasma. To create new mode type data, select the Create option, and click with the right mouse button on the graphics window at the time you wish the new mode type data point to be created. A dark blue dashed marker will then be displayed to indicate the time point selected, and a window will be displayed, as below, for you to select which mode type you wish this point to be, and which plasma mode the new time point is indicating.

Select the desired mode for this point and press OK (or double click the mode you wish to select). The display should then be updated with the changes to the mode data selected.

Moving a mode type data point

Mode type data points can be moved. This may be useful if, for example, you have created a new mode type point in the wrong place. To move a mode type data point, select the Move option and press the right mouse button above the mode type data point you wish to move. A dark blue dashed marker will then be displayed above the mode type data point selected. Keep the right mouse button depressed and move the cursor to the time point to which the mode type point should be moved, then release the mouse button.  A second blue marker should indicate the time which the mode point is to be moved to. A window will be displayed asking for confirmation of the move. Select OK, or cancel as desired.

Deleting a mode type data point

To delete a mode type data point, select the Delete option. Click with the right mouse button on the mode type data point to be deleted, and a marker will be displayed indicating the mode type data point selected. A window will be displayed asking for confirmation of the delete, select OK or cancel as desired.
