Saving timeslice data to PPF

Once modified, timeslice data can be saved to PPF. If only mode data or event data have been editied, or the timeslice or event reasons altered, then the changes are saved in a TSMK PPF. If timeslice lines have been edited then both a TSLC PPF and TSMK PPF are written to save the data. Choosing to save the timeslice data to PPF will therefore result in a new TSMK PPF being produced, and possibly a TSLC PPF being written as well. These can either be public or private PPFs. You must have authorization to write to the user id of the PPFs which are to be written. At present you can only write PPFs using the 'Direct from PPF/JPF' data client. You therefore must set the Data Client in the Preferences option as below.

To save timeslice data to PPF, select the 'Save timeslice data to PPF' option from the File menu. You will then be given a window to allow you to choose the PPF user id to write to as below. If a TSLC PPF is to be written then you will also be prompted for the PPF comment to be supplied for that PPF.

Select the correct PPF user id, and press OK. The data will then be saved to PPF and when this has happened you will be informed of the sequence numbers of the PPFs which have been written.

If you modify the timeslice data and attempt to exit the View/Print window without saving the data, you will be asked if you wish to save the data to PPF.
