Adding Annotation

Annotation

In addition to the standard title and legend, you can annotate a JETDSP plot with text or lines.

Text Annotation

  • Check the 'Add Text' button from the 'Mouse Function' menu, which is always visible directly beneath the main (top) menu bar of the View/Print window.

  • Click on the plot at the position where you would like the text to be drawn.  A dialog box will appear.  Type the text you would like to add in the first box and click 'OK'

Note that text is positioned in data coordinates.  Hence, when you zoom on a window to which text has been added, it stays in the same position relative to the data on the plot.

Line Annotation

  • Check the 'Add Line' button from the 'Mouse Function' menu, which is always visible directly beneath the main (top) menu bar of the View/Print window.

  • Click on the plot at the position where you would like the line to be start, and then on the position where you would like the line to end.  As with text, line annotation is in data coordinates.
