Zooming and PanningYou can zoom and pan the pictures in JETDSP using the mouse. ZoomingTo zoom, check the 'Zoom' button from the 'Mouse Function' menu, which is always visible directly beneath the main (top) menu bar of the View/Print window. Now, when you click the left mouse button in the plot area, JETDSP draws a temporary vertical marker line on the plot. A second mouse click defines a second marker position. The plot is then immediately redrawn to show only the data from the horizontal axis range that the two mouse clicks have defined. You can zoom again on any zoomed picture, and so on. To Zoom Out - that is, return to the previous picture - choose 'Zoom Out' from the 'Zoom' option on the top menu bar of the View/Print window. 'Zoom Reset' resets the plot to its original horizontal axis range. All the plots in the column above and below the plot (see layout) will also be zoomed - including contour and surface plots. PanningTo pan, check the 'Pan' button from the 'Mouse Function' menu, which is always visible directly beneath the main (top) menu bar of the View/Print window. When you click and drag the left mouse button within the plot area, JETDSP will move the plot along the horizontal axis. This is most useful on a plot that has already had its horizontal axis range reduced by zooming, as you can adjust the data window that you are looking at without changing its size. For both zooming and panning, the program adjusts the plot scale in the vertical direction so that the y-axis covers the range of data for the limited window only. |
