Exporting files from JETDSP

To export a picture from a JETDSP View and Print window, select one of the various Export options from the File menu of the View/Print Window. 'Export' will bring up a dialogue box in which you can choose from three types of image formats using the Filter drop down menu: EPS, JPEG and PNG:

The PNG format is similar to the GIF format and is supported by a wide range of imaging packages and web browsers.

The CGM format has been removed as of SU 15651 as EPS files can now be loaded into Microsoft Word as a standard vector graphics format

Three options are available for exporting EPS (PostScript) files. For more details see the EPS file output page.

When exporting reduced EPS and publication format EPS files, a new window will appear allowing you to select the filename and the directory:

Type in or choose a filename and click OK to create the file

File transfer to JET reprographics

JET Reprographics prefer EPS format, and the 'Export for Publication' option is the most preferred format.

To transfer your exported file to the reprographics office:

  1. Make your JAC home directory available to your PC at JET (see here for details)
  2. Navigate to the Reprographics Office file share - T:\Graphics\Work In
  3. Create a new folder with your JETNET username
  4. Copy the images required from your mapped JAC home area (step 1) to your newly created folder
  5. Email Reprographics to let them know your content is available
